Mind and Body

Mental responses often manifest through physical responses and physiological changes in the body. For diseases affecting the body, mind-body therapy is applied to speed up healing. This therapy involves a series of techniques and approaches designed to enhance the interactions between the mind and bodily functions.

In mind-body therapy, the therapist views an individual as an integrated whole—combining mind, body, and spirit. Our team of expert mind-body therapists harnesses the natural power of emotions and thoughts to positively influence physical health. Therefore, if any of our clients suffer from pain due to a medical condition, we first attempt to treat the patient’s mind to enhance their mental power and coping abilities.

The various mind-body therapeutic techniques we apply include:

Hypnosis

We use hypnosis to transport the patient to a state of profound relaxation, also referred to as a state of altered mental and emotional consciousness. Hypnotherapy allows a person to focus on their inner thoughts and life goals, promoting overall well-being.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation therapy is an excellent way to manage stress and health issues like diabetes and hypertension triggered by stress. In this therapy, we encourage our clients to pay attention to the present moment and the rise and fall of their breaths. This therapy helps clients cope with life in a better way.

Biofeedback

In this method, we use technology to measure various physiological responses like brain waves, heart rate, breathing patterns, sweat gland functioning, and peripheral body temperature. This therapy can successfully treat asthma, headaches, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and enuresis.

Music Therapy

In this therapy, we use different aspects of music to release stress and tension. The participant may be asked to listen to instrumental music or a soothing song during the session. Later, we discuss with the client how the music has affected their mind and thoughts.

Guided Imagery

We use this therapy to help our clients manage stress and pain better. The natural healing power of the five senses is utilized in this therapy to improve the body’s immune functions and regulate stress hormone levels.

Laughter Yoga

In laughter yoga, we encourage participants to engage in laughter-based activities such as breathing exercises and clapping. This therapy uses the natural potency of laughter—often referred to as the best medicine—to release emotional stress and promote physical well-being.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapies

These therapies are used to enhance a person’s cognitive abilities and change behavioural patterns to eliminate mental and physical health issues.

Mind-Body conditioning can produce long-term physical responses, improving health and life. Contact our therapists without delay!
